Embracing the Transition of Seasons

Coming through Autumn Equinox, into a new month, and commencing the last quarter of the year… I’m reminded of the essence of Transition at this time of year. This season is a time of gathering our energy inward and reflecting on our accomplishments — the seeds that we planted months ago and the activity that we engaged in during the active Summer season of peak production. Recognizing Mabon as the equal balance of day & night before Winter arrives, the amount of daylight - to - darkness has noticeably shifted. T'is a time in the year to soak in these sunny warm days and be present with what is here & now.

On a beautiful sunny Tuesday a couple weeks ago, I took time for a Yang Yin Yoga flow outdoors. There’s something so magnificent about practicing Yoga + Meditation outside in nature… it definitely connects me on a deeper and richer level with Universe Creator. Laying in the grass at the top of a valley staring up at the blue sky … was truly quite divine 😌✨ A moment in time to be present with the changing seasons and the gifts of outdoor living available.
There is so much to savor at this time of year… the late afternoon hot sun, vibrant Autumn colors, stunning clear blue skies, the crunch of leaves under foot (really quite satisfying, yeah? #ASMR )

My partner and I have been chatting about ways to fit in hikes, bike rides and various adventures amidst the seasonal yardwork that is heavily increasing with the literal fall of leaves and apples from our beautiful apple tree. What feels like a short Summer ago that the white blossoms of our apple tree were in bloom and turning to budding fruits… are now releasing from the tree from which they grew and returning back to Earth.
Such a strong visual on the mindset of impermanence, the cyclical nature of life, and the concept of detachment. How we can live fully, while still letting go when the time comes.
On a deeper note, this seasonal transition has also been a time of honoring loved ones whom have Transcended… some as of recent and others over the years. There’s an energetic shift to the season of longer nights and the weeks that approach Dia de las Muertos, that brings a deeper introspection to the connection of life and the realm beyond.
I had the sincere honor of receiving a gift from my dear friend Becky, which introduced me to the work of her friend Kim whom created a platform of grievance healing. This particular deck of affirmation cards that she created, each sharing a perspective of encouragement + validation through the heavy times of experiencing grief and letting go.

These reflections this Autumn have highlighted + deepened my connection to live fully and with intention. Opening my heart and experiencing all that life offers. Alongside the stresses of life… truly taking in every ray of sunlight on my face, the crunch of each leaf, every hug from a dear friend. For that is what this journey of being a Soul having a human experience is all about ... a collection of rich + meaningful moments from one season to the next, through all of life's peaks and valleys as we navigate our unique path.
Until next time friends ~
